Emeline Tinsman Design is a residential interior design practice rooted in Bucks County. We create considered interiors that respond to the architecture and the people who live there.

Emeline has practiced her craft continuously since graduating from Philadelphia University with a degree in interior design. Her professional experience includes furniture design and green building, as well as residential design in Philadelphia and Bucks County
Her work brings contemporary ease to houses with history, with particular attention to color, material, custom millwork, and architectural continuity.
The studio is intentionally small. Each project receives direct design leadership, close collaboration, and the practical perspective that comes from years of residential renovation work.
From the first conversation, we look closely at what is already there: the proportions of a room, the pieces you want to keep, and the routines a home needs to support. Those observations give the design its direction.

Architecture gives a room its starting point. We pay attention to scale, light, circulation, and existing details so that new work feels in conversation with its surroundings.
Make room for real life.
Comfort and everyday use guide the choices. A beautiful room should also make sense for the people who cook, gather, work, and unwind in it.
Build a collected whole.
Color, natural materials, textiles, art, and meaningful existing pieces bring depth to a home. We look for balance and a personal point of view across those layers.

The varied houses, craft traditions, and layered landscapes of this region inform the studio’s work. We bring a respect for that character to interiors that feel comfortable in the present.

Emeline Tinsman Design is the interior design practice of Emeline Tinsman Design LLC, also home to Armitage Interiors, our residential design-build and remodeling division.
Clients may engage the design studio independently, working with their own architect or contractor. When integrated design and construction is the right fit, Armitage’s building experience is close at hand.
