Reclaimed bluestone
A welcome in wood and stone.
New materials and lighting refreshed Oak and Stone’s foyer around its existing woodwork and the homeowners’ art. Moravian star pendants replaced a dated chandelier, while reclaimed bluestone pavers took the place of green tiles from the 1990s. Both were selected by Emeline.
Stars above the entrance.
Suspended at different heights, the Moravian pendants bring a sculptural presence to the tall foyer. Their dark outlines complement the new railing across the second-floor hallway, while picture lights in key locations draw attention to the homeowners’ artwork.
Character underfoot.
Reclaimed bluestone gives the entrance texture and a deep blue-gray tone. The pavers meet the adjoining wood floor, bringing the two materials together at the threshold.
The foyer is part of Oak and Stone.
